Solid D: Dynamic, Dramatic, dan Sedikit Berbahaya!
Jika ada penghargaan untuk kelompok paling berisik, paling heboh, dan paling sulit disuruh diam di Reuni SSEAYP 1989 Bali tahun 2015, maka pialanya hampir pasti jatuh ke tangan Solid D. Huruf D memang berarti Dynamic, tetapi bagi teman-teman SSEAYP, D juga bisa berarti Dahsyat, Dramatis, dan Deg-Degan karena tidak ada yang tahu kejutan apa yang akan mereka lakukan berikutnya.
Dalam foto ini hadir Ito dan JSB dari Indonesia, Helen, Winston, dan Ben dari Malaysia, serta Jane dari Brunei. Ketika mereka berkumpul, suasana yang tadinya tenang langsung berubah menjadi seperti acara komedi internasional. Belum lima menit bertemu, suara tawa mereka sudah terdengar dari ujung ruangan sampai ke area parkir hotel.
Konon, saat sesi foto berlangsung, fotografer hanya meminta mereka tersenyum. Namun karena terlalu bersemangat, ada yang memberi pose ala bintang film, ada yang menunjuk kamera seperti agen rahasia, ada yang tertawa sampai lupa melihat lensa. Akibatnya, satu foto memerlukan waktu hampir sama lamanya dengan perjalanan SSEAYP dari Jepang ke Asia Tenggara.
Yang lebih lucu lagi, setelah lebih dari 25 tahun berpisah, mereka ternyata masih saling mengingat kebiasaan masing-masing. Begitu seseorang mulai bercerita, yang lain langsung menyela, mengoreksi, dan menambahkan versi cerita yang lebih heboh. Tidak ada yang benar-benar tahu mana cerita asli dan mana yang sudah diberi bumbu selama seperempat abad.
Namun di balik semua kelucuan itu, ada satu hal yang tidak berubah: persahabatan mereka. Solid D membuktikan bahwa usia boleh bertambah, rambut boleh berkurang, dan kacamata boleh bertambah tebal, tetapi persahabatan sejati tetap Dynamic, tetap kuat, dan tetap mampu membuat semua orang tertawa seperti anak muda tahun 1989.

Solid D: Dynamic, Dramatic, and Slightly Dangerous!
If there had been an award for the loudest, funniest, and most impossible-to-control group at the SSEAYP 1989 Reunion in Bali in 2015, Solid D would have won it without competition. The letter D officially stands for Dynamic, but among their SSEAYP friends, it could just as easily mean Dramatic, Dazzling, and Delightfully Unpredictable.
In this photo are Ito and JSB from Indonesia, Helen, Winston, and Ben from Malaysia, and Jane from Brunei. Whenever these six gathered together, the atmosphere instantly transformed from a peaceful reunion into a live international comedy show. Within minutes, their laughter could be heard across the room, down the hallway, and probably halfway to the beach.
Legend has it that during this photo session, the photographer simply asked everyone to smile. Unfortunately, Solid D interpreted that instruction in six completely different ways. One posed like a movie star, another pointed at the camera like a secret agent, while someone else laughed so hard they almost forgot where the camera was. Taking one photograph reportedly required nearly as much teamwork as the original SSEAYP voyage itself.
The funniest part was discovering that after more than twenty-five years apart, they still remembered each other’s habits perfectly. Whenever one person started telling a story, the others immediately interrupted, corrected details, and added even more dramatic versions. By the end, nobody could remember which version was true and which had been improved through decades of friendship.
Behind all the jokes, however, was something truly special. Their friendship had survived time, distance, careers, and countless life changes. Solid D proved that while hairlines may retreat, glasses may get thicker, and birthdays may multiply, genuine friendship remains forever Dynamic—full of energy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
