Korean Tourism Seminar Perluas Wawasan Dosen dan Mahasiswa Pariwisata Unhas tentang Industri Travel Korea

MAKASSAR — Korean Tourism Seminar yang digelar di Hyatt Hotel Makassar menjadi momentum bagi akademisi dan mahasiswa Pariwisata Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) untuk memperluas wawasan mengenai perkembangan pariwisata Korea Selatan dan industri perjalanan internasional.
Seminar tersebut dihadiri oleh Dosen Pariwisata Unhas, Dr. Dirk Sandarupa, M. Hum., MCE, bersama Ketua Himpunan Mahasiswa S1 Prodi Pariwisata Unhas, Nur Azizah Rizqiana.
Keikutsertaan dalam seminar ini memberikan pengalaman dan pengetahuan baru, terutama dalam memahami ekosistem pariwisata Korea Selatan serta berbagai pihak yang berperan dalam promosi destinasi dan pengembangan industri travel.
Salah satu wawasan menarik yang diperoleh peserta adalah mengenai keberadaan dan peran Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) dalam dunia travel dan pariwisata. KTO memiliki peran penting dalam mempromosikan Korea Selatan sebagai destinasi wisata sekaligus mendukung pengembangan industri pariwisata dan perjalanan.
Bagi mahasiswa Pariwisata Unhas, pemahaman mengenai KTO menjadi pengetahuan yang relevan karena memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana sebuah negara mengelola promosi destinasi, membangun kerja sama dengan industri travel, serta meningkatkan daya tariknya bagi wisatawan mancanegara.
Dr. Dirk Sandarupa menilai bahwa mengikuti berbagai seminar dan forum yang berkaitan dengan pariwisata internasional merupakan bagian penting dalam memperkaya wawasan akademik sekaligus memahami perkembangan industri pariwisata secara langsung.
Sementara itu, kehadiran Nur Azizah Rizqiana sebagai representasi mahasiswa memberikan kesempatan untuk memperoleh pengalaman dan perspektif baru mengenai industri travel, khususnya hubungan antara promosi destinasi dan pasar wisata internasional.
Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong mahasiswa Pariwisata Unhas untuk semakin aktif mengikuti berbagai kegiatan akademik dan industri, sehingga memiliki wawasan yang lebih luas serta kesiapan menghadapi dinamika industri pariwisata global.
Dari Hyatt Hotel Makassar menuju wawasan pariwisata global, Pariwisata Unhas terus membuka ruang bagi dosen dan mahasiswa untuk belajar, berjejaring, dan memahami perkembangan industri pariwisata dunia.

Korean Tourism Seminar Expands Tourism Insights for Hasanuddin University Lecturer and Student Leader

MAKASSAR, INDONESIA — The Korean Tourism Seminar, held at Hyatt Hotel Makassar, provided an important opportunity for academics and students of tourism to broaden their understanding of South Korea’s tourism industry and the global travel sector.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Dirk Sandarupa, M. Hum., MCE, Lecturer in the Tourism Study Program at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), together with Nur Azizah Rizqiana, Chairperson of the Undergraduate Tourism Student Association at UNHAS.
Participating in the seminar offered valuable new insights, particularly into the tourism ecosystem in South Korea and the various stakeholders involved in destination promotion and the travel industry.
One of the key insights gained from the seminar was a better understanding of the role of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) in the travel and tourism industry. KTO plays an important role in promoting South Korea as a tourism destination while supporting the development of the country’s tourism and travel sectors.
For Tourism students at UNHAS, learning about the role of KTO provides relevant knowledge about how a country strategically promotes its destinations, collaborates with the travel industry, and attracts international visitors.
Dr. Dirk Sandarupa highlighted the importance of participating in international tourism seminars as a way for lecturers and students to expand their perspectives. Beyond academic knowledge, such events provide valuable insights into how the tourism industry operates at the global level.
Meanwhile, Nur Azizah Rizqiana’s participation as a student representative provided an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the tourism industry and to understand developments in Korean tourism from a travel perspective.
The seminar is expected to contribute not only to participants’ knowledge but also to encourage Tourism students at UNHAS to actively participate in seminars, industry events, and professional forums that can strengthen their competencies as future tourism professionals.
From Hyatt Hotel Makassar to a global tourism perspective, UNHAS Tourism continues to embrace new knowledge and developments in the international tourism industry.
