INILAH WAJAH-WAJAH PANITIA PENGARAH STEERING COMMITTEE SINODE KAMS 2026/2027

MAKASSAR — Keuskupan Agung Makassar resmi menetapkan Panitia Pengarah atau Steering Committee Persiapan Sinode Diosesan KAMS 2026/2027. Pembentukan tim ini menjadi bagian penting dalam mempersiapkan pelaksanaan Sinode Diosesan KAMS 2027 secara matang, terencana, dan terkoordinasi.
Penetapan tersebut tertuang dalam Surat Keputusan Uskup Agung Keuskupan Agung Makassar Nomor 14.08/D-2/2026, yang ditetapkan di Makassar pada 14 Agustus 2026 dan ditandatangani oleh Uskup Agung Makassar, Mgr. Fransiskus Nipa.
Penyusunan Panitia Pengarah memperhatikan hasil Rapat Dewan Imam KAMS pada 19–21 Mei 2026 serta berbagai pertimbangan dalam Rapat Dewan Konsultor KAMS pada 8 Juli 2026. Pembentukannya juga berpedoman pada Dekrit Christus Dominus Konsili Vatikan II, Kitab Hukum Kanonik 1983 khususnya Kanon 460–468 mengenai Sinode Keuskupan, serta Anggaran Dasar Keuskupan Agung Makassar.
Dalam Surat Keputusan tersebut, Uskup Agung Makassar, Mgr. Fransiskus Nipa, bertindak sebagai pelindung. Sementara itu, jajaran penasihat terdiri atas Mgr. John Liku-Ada’, Mgr. Petrus Boddeng Timang, Vikaris Jenderal KAMS RP. Derikson A. Turnip, CICM, para Vikaris Episkopal KAMS, Sr. Sandra Supit, SJM selaku Provinsial SJM, Fr. Yoseph Lenamah, HHK selaku Pemimpin Umum HHK, Koordinator CICM Komunitas Makassar, serta Koordinator MSC Komunitas Makassar.
Panitia Pengarah dipimpin oleh RD. Carolus Patampang sebagai ketua dan RD. I Made Markus Suma sebagai wakil ketua. Posisi Sekretaris I dipercayakan kepada RP. Yulius Thomas Claudius, CICM, sedangkan RD. Paulus Tongli mengemban tugas sebagai Sekretaris II.
Sebanyak 17 orang ditetapkan sebagai anggota Steering Committee, yakni RD. Fredy Rante Taruk; RD. Aidan Putra Sidik; RD. Antonius Papendon; Fr. Saverinus Raing, HHK; Sr. Christine M. Sumaraw, SJM, M.Hum.; Yulius Barra’ Pasolon; Dr. Dirk Sandarupa, M.Hum., MCE; dr. Merry Monica, MARS, FISQua, OQGP; Anselmus A.R. Masiku, S.H.; Indra Samsie; Antonius Pararak, S.S., M.M.; Edy Charlie; Kustedjo Kartiko; Donna Charlie; William Laurin, S.E.; Martinus Pagasing; dan Anton Ranteallo.
Komposisi tersebut memperlihatkan keterlibatan para imam, kaum religius, serta umat awam dengan beragam latar belakang keahlian dan pengalaman. Kebersamaan mereka diharapkan mampu menghadirkan proses persiapan sinode yang partisipatif, komprehensif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pastoral umat di seluruh wilayah KAMS.
Berdasarkan Surat Keputusan tersebut, Steering Committee memiliki sejumlah tugas strategis. Tim akan mendalami bahan-bahan dari lapangan, terutama yang berhubungan dengan evaluasi delapan Rencana Strategis hasil Sinode Diosesan 2012, kemudian menyusunnya dalam bentuk narasi yang sistematis.
Tim juga bertugas mengirimkan kembali konsep naratif tersebut ke setiap kevikepan untuk memperoleh tanggapan, koreksi, dan penyempurnaan. Berdasarkan masukan serta hasil uji kembali dari lapangan, Steering Committee akan merumuskan instrumentum laboris atau perangkat kerja yang digunakan dalam penyelenggaraan sinode.
Selain itu, Panitia Pengarah bertanggung jawab mengawal dan menjaga fokus setiap sidang selama sinode berlangsung. Tim selanjutnya merumuskan hasil akhir persidangan untuk diserahkan kepada Uskup agar memperoleh persetujuan atau penetapan sebelum diumumkan dan disampaikan kepada pihak-pihak terkait berdasarkan ketentuan Gereja.
Kehadiran Panitia Pengarah Sinode KAMS 2026/2027 menandai dimulainya tahapan penting menuju Sinode Diosesan KAMS 2027. Para anggota bukan sekadar nama-nama dalam sebuah keputusan resmi, melainkan pribadi-pribadi yang menerima tanggung jawab untuk mendengarkan, merangkum, dan mengarahkan aspirasi umat dalam semangat berjalan bersama.
Dengan doa, keterbukaan, dan partisipasi seluruh umat, Steering Committee diharapkan mampu mempersiapkan Sinode Diosesan KAMS 2027 sebagai momentum evaluasi, pembaruan, serta peneguhan arah pastoral Gereja yang semakin sinodal, misioner, dan penuh belas kasih.

MEET THE MEMBERS OF THE 2026/2027 KAMS SYNOD STEERING COMMITTEE

MAKASSAR — The Archdiocese of Makassar has officially appointed the Steering Committee for the preparation of the 2026/2027 KAMS Diocesan Synod. The establishment of the committee represents an important step toward preparing the 2027 KAMS Diocesan Synod in a thorough, well-planned, and coordinated manner.
The appointments were formalized through Decree of the Archbishop of Makassar No. 14.08/D-2/2026, issued in Makassar on August 14, 2026, and signed by the Archbishop of Makassar, Most Rev. Fransiskus Nipa.
The formation of the Steering Committee took into consideration the meeting of the KAMS Council of Priests held on May 19–21, 2026, as well as recommendations arising from the meeting of the KAMS College of Consultors on July 8, 2026. It was also based on the Second Vatican Council’s Decree Christus Dominus, the 1983 Code of Canon Law—particularly Canons 460–468 concerning diocesan synods—and the Statutes of the Archdiocese of Makassar.
Under the decree, Archbishop Fransiskus Nipa serves as the committee’s patron. Its advisers are Archbishop Emeritus John Liku-Ada’, Bishop Petrus Boddeng Timang, KAMS Vicar General Fr. Derikson A. Turnip, CICM, the KAMS Episcopal Vicars, Sr. Sandra Supit, SJM, as the SJM Provincial Superior, Br. Yoseph Lenamah, HHK, as the General Leader of HHK, the Coordinator of the CICM Community in Makassar, and the Coordinator of the MSC Community in Makassar.
The Steering Committee is chaired by Fr. Carolus Patampang, with Fr. I Made Markus Suma serving as vice-chairperson. Fr. Yulius Thomas Claudius, CICM, serves as First Secretary, while Fr. Paulus Tongli serves as Second Secretary.
Seventeen individuals were appointed as committee members: Fr. Fredy Rante Taruk; Fr. Aidan Putra Sidik; Fr. Antonius Papendon; Br. Saverinus Raing, HHK; Sr. Christine M. Sumaraw, SJM, M.Hum.; Yulius Barra’ Pasolon; Dr. Dirk Sandarupa, M.Hum., MCE; Dr. Merry Monica, MARS, FISQua, OQGP; Anselmus A.R. Masiku, S.H.; Indra Samsie; Antonius Pararak, S.S., M.M.; Edy Charlie; Kustedjo Kartiko; Donna Charlie; William Laurin, S.E.; Martinus Pagasing; and Anton Ranteallo.
The committee’s composition demonstrates the participation of priests, religious men and women, and lay faithful with diverse professional backgrounds and experience. Their collaboration is expected to support a participatory and comprehensive synodal preparation process that responds to the pastoral needs of the faithful throughout the KAMS territory.
According to the decree, the Steering Committee has several strategic responsibilities. It will study information gathered from local communities, particularly materials relating to the evaluation of the eight strategic plans resulting from the 2012 Diocesan Synod, and organize the findings into a systematic narrative.
The committee will then return the narrative drafts to the respective episcopal vicariates for feedback, corrections, and further refinement. Drawing upon those responses and the results of field consultations, the Steering Committee will formulate the instrumentum laboris, or working document, for the synod.
The committee is also responsible for safeguarding the focus and direction of the discussions throughout the synodal sessions. It will formulate the final results of the deliberations and submit them to the Archbishop for approval or formal establishment before they are announced and communicated to the relevant parties in accordance with Church regulations.
The appointment of the 2026/2027 KAMS Synod Steering Committee marks the beginning of a significant stage in the journey toward the 2027 KAMS Diocesan Synod. Its members are more than names listed in an official decree; they are individuals entrusted with listening to, synthesizing, and guiding the aspirations of the faithful in the spirit of journeying together.
Through prayer, openness, and the active participation of the faithful, the Steering Committee is expected to prepare the 2027 KAMS Diocesan Synod as a moment of evaluation, renewal, and affirmation of the Church’s pastoral direction toward becoming increasingly synodal, missionary, and compassionate.
